Mark Wimberly

Mark Wimberly has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies. Mark is currently working as the Director of Distribution Engineering at DRG Technical Solutions, LLC since 2022. Prior to that, they held various roles at Duke Energy Corporation from 2014 to 2022, including Vice President of Central Zone and Vice President of Customer Delivery Programs and Support. Mark also served as the Vice President of Contractor Operations, where they were responsible for overseeing labor contracts and distribution work executed by contractors. Additionally, they worked as the Director of Grid Investments, managing project development for grid-level investments.

Before joining Duke Energy, Mark Wimberly served as the General Manager of Grid Modernization at Duke Energy from 2012 to 2014. Prior to that, they held positions at Progress Energy as the Vice President of Distribution Construction and Maintenance and the Director of Financial Services from 2003 to 2012. Earlier in their career, they worked at The Southern Company as the General Manager of Generation Development. Mark also held positions at Gulf Power Company as the Region Manager of Distribution Construction, Operation, and Maintenance, and at Alabama Power Company as an Assistant to the Vice President.

Mark Wimberly's work experience also includes roles at Southern Electric International as the Director of South Pacific Business Operations, and at Mississippi Power Company as the Manager of Federal Affairs.

Throughout their career, Mark Wimberly has demonstrated expertise in distribution engineering, customer delivery programs, contractor operations, grid investments, and grid modernization.

From 1975 to 1980, Mark Wimberly attended Auburn University Harbert College of Business, where they pursued a BS/BA degree in Industrial Management.
