Julie Townsend P.e.

Julie Townsend, P.E. serves as a Civil Project Manager at Driesenga & Associates, Inc. since June 2023, managing civil site development projects and representing clients at agency meetings. Previously, as a Township Trustee for Victor Township from June 2018 to July 2024, Julie facilitated updates to the township's Master Plan and Parks and Recreation plan. In 2023, Julie also worked as a K-12 Substitute Teacher across six school districts in the greater Lansing area, focusing on math, science, and music/band classes. Julie's extensive experience includes over two decades in transportation engineering, notably serving as an Ancillary Structures Specialist at the Michigan Department of Transportation from 2001 to 2022, where project costs and scopes of work were developed. Additional roles include Project Manager at Bergmann Associates and Project Engineer positions at DLZ and Alfred Benesch & Company, all focusing on road design and contract documentation. Julie holds a Master of Science in Civil Engineering from Michigan State University, along with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the same institution.
