Daniel G.

Daniel G. has a diverse work experience in the field of security engineering and analysis. Daniel most recently worked at DriveCentric as a Security Engineer III. Prior to that, Daniel worked at Anthology Inc as a Senior Security Engineer and Security Engineer, where they provided security solutions and support for the Blackboard Learn SaaS product team. Daniel also performed vendor risk management reviews and assisted in internal audits for compliance purposes. Before that, they worked at TWG Security as a Service Engineer, providing IT technical support for physical security systems and implementing customer support program improvements. Daniel also worked at Netizen Corporation as an Information System Security Officer, Lead Cybersecurity Analyst, and Cybersecurity Analyst, where they developed and managed security operations centers, introduced improvements in vulnerability scanning systems, and created comprehensive policies and procedures. Daniel began their career at Flexential as a Service Support Supervisor and an Incident Response Analyst, where they supervised technical teams, facilitated incident support calls, and provided troubleshooting and maintenance support for IT environments. Daniel's earliest work experience was in the United States Marine Corps as a Digital Wideband Systems Maintainer, where they provided guidance and coaching to junior Marines and developed and implemented policies and procedures.

Daniel G. began their education in 2007 when they attended the Marine Corps Communication-Electronics School. During their time there, they studied communication-electronics but did not earn a degree.

In 2019, Daniel enrolled at Western Governors University and pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Cybersecurity and Information Assurance. Daniel completed their studies in 2021.

In addition to their formal education, Daniel obtained multiple certifications. In 2017, they achieved the ITIL Foundation Certification in IT Service Management from PeopleCert. In 2018, they earned the CompTIA Security+ certification from CompTIA.

In 2019, Daniel obtained the CompTIA Cybersecurity Analyst (CySA+) certification, also from CompTIA. In the following year, 2020, they achieved the CompTIA A+ and CompTIA Network+ certifications from the same institution. Additionally, they obtained the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) from (ISC)².

In 2021, Daniel earned the CompTIA Project+ certification from CompTIA. Moving forward to 2022, they achieved the Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP) certification from (ISC)² and became a CMMC Registered Practitioner through the CMMC Accreditation Body. Daniel also obtained the Certified Expert Independent Assessor (CEIA) Associate certification from Lunarline, Inc.

Lastly, in 2017, Daniel attained the AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS).
