Spencer Wells

Spencer Wells is a seasoned finance professional with extensive expertise in distressed business management and investment strategies. Currently a Partner at Drivetrain, LLC since January 2014, Spencer leads an independent fiduciary services firm specializing in distressed business expertise across the U.S. and Europe. Prior experience includes serving as a Senior Advisor at TPG Capital, where responsibilities encompassed the sourcing and diligence of new investments, and as a Partner overseeing a $2.5 billion portfolio of distressed credit investments. Earlier roles include Partner at Silver Point Capital, managing over $1 billion in distressed investments, and an Analyst at Union Bank of Switzerland's Distressed Debt trading desk. Spencer holds an MBA in Finance from Columbia Business School and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Wesleyan University.
