Aja Horsley

Aja Horsley has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Aja started their career as an Environmental Technologist at Northern EnviroSearch in 2008. Aja then worked as an Air Quality Consultant at Calvin Consulting Group Ltd. in 2010 and as an Environmental Scientist at Integrated Environments (2006) Ltd. from 2011 to 2012.

In 2012, Aja joined SAIT Polytechnic as a Lead Researcher and Project Manager, where they pioneered research in Culinary and Urban Agriculture. Aja also became a certified Green Roof Professional and LEED Green Associate during their time there.

In 2016, Aja founded their own company called Drizzle Honey Products, where they serve as the CEO and Queen Bee. Drizzle Honey Products aims to support sustainable beekeeping and promote the unique qualities of raw, unadulterated honey while contributing to the health of local bee populations and empowering sustainable production in beekeeping.

Aja Horsley attended The University of Lethbridge from 2007 to 2009, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Environmental Science. In 2008, they also attended Université Laval for a short duration. Aja Horsley began their education at the University of Calgary from 2004 to 2006, although no specific degree or field of study is mentioned.

In addition to their formal education, Aja Horsley obtained several certifications. In March 2014, they became a Green Roof Professional through the institution Green Roofs for Healthy Cities. Aja Horsley also received a Prairie Horticulture Certificate with a specialization in Greenhouse Crop Production from Olds College in January 2014. Lastly, they obtained a LEED Green Associate certification from the Canada Green Building Council - CaGBC in March 2012.
