Bruce Massey, P.E. has extensive work experience in the field of engineering. Bruce started their career in 2001 as an Engineering Technician at Hartman and Associates/Tetratech, where they worked until 2004. Bruce then worked as an Engineering Technician at Jones Edmunds from January 2004 to July 2004. Subsequently, they joined Southern Engineering P.A. as an Engineering Technician from July 2004 to December 2004.
In 2004, Bruce also worked as a Civil Cad Designer at Moore Bass Consulting, Inc. from December 2004 to November 2007. Following this, they joined exp Global Inc. as a Drafting Technician from February 2008 to August 2012. During their time at exp Global Inc., they gained experience in AutoCAD design for natural gas pipeline projects and created map books using Arcview GIS.
Bruce then transitioned to Bowman Consulting, where they worked as an Intern from February 2013 to August 2014. At Bowman Consulting, they focused on AutoCAD design for site-specific drawings and conceptual site plans for projects across Florida. Bruce also conducted due diligence on site-development projects and prepared preliminary reports.
In 2014, Bruce joined Dewberry | Preble-Rish as an Intern, where they worked until February 2015. At Dewberry | Preble-Rish, they served as an AutoCAD designer, creating site-specific drawings and conceptual site plans for projects in northeast Florida. Bruce also conducted quality assurance of plan documents and performed permitting for various projects.
From February 2015 to March 2019, Bruce worked at GPI / Greenman-Pedersen, Inc. as a Project Engineer. Their responsibilities included design, analysis, documentation, and quality assurance of various design documents for FDOT Restoration, Rehabilitation and Resurfacing projects, as well as private development projects in Florida. Bruce also provided inspection services for FDOT signing and marking jobs.
Currently, Bruce is employed at DRMP, Inc. as a Project Engineer, a position they have held since March 2019.
Bruce Massey, P.E. pursued their education in a chronological manner, beginning with an Associate of Arts and Sciences (AAS) degree in CAD/CADD Drafting and/or Design Technology/Technician from Northwest Florida State College. Bruce attended this institution from 1999 to 2002. Following this, Bruce earned an Associate's degree in General Studies from Tallahassee Community College. Bruce studied there from 2007 to 2009. Their educational journey culminated in a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from Florida State University, which they obtained between 2011 and 2014.
Bruce Massey, P.E. also obtained two additional certifications. The first one is a Professional Engineer (PE) certification from the Florida Board of Professional Engineers, which they acquired in January 2020. The second certification is an Engineer [Intern] designation, also granted by the Florida Board of Professional Engineers, obtained in February 2015.
