Micaiah Babbs

Micaiah Babbs has a diverse work experience, starting with their current position as a Flight Engineer at DroneUp since October 2022. Prior to that, they worked as a Drone Pilot Recruiter at DroneUp from June 2022 to October 2022.

Before joining DroneUp, Babbs worked as a Wind Turbine Technician at Vestas from May 2020 to November 2020. In this role, they were responsible for performing maintenance tasks on over 35 turbines, including installation, recalibration, and repair of various turbine components. They also supported Vestas' SCADA systems and created buildouts of VOB servers.

Babbs began their career in the United States Air Force in January 2016. They served as an Aerospace Maintenance Journeyman until May 2020, during which they inspected, repaired, and maintained aircraft systems and powerplants. They also served as a Data Entry Analyst from October 2017 to May 2018, where they managed aircraft flight data and performed quality assurance on operational data.

Micaiah Babbs has a diverse education history spanning various fields. In 2016, Micaiah obtained a Secret Security Clearance from the United States Air Force. In 2020, they completed a program in Energy Management and Systems Technology/Technician at Airstreams Renewables, Inc. Additionally, in the same year, Micaiah obtained certifications in Electrical Safety and Renewable Energy & Communications Tower Technician Program from the same institution.

Continuing their education, Micaiah joined Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in 2021 and pursued an Associate of Science degree in Engineering Fundamentals, which they are expected to complete in 2023.

In 2022, Micaiah supplemented their aviation knowledge by enrolling in DARTdrones. They completed an FAA Part 107 Drone Training program, gaining expertise in Aeronautics/Aviation/Aerospace Science and Technology. Micaiah also obtained certifications in Aerial Inspection and Aerial Mapping & Modeling Training from DARTdrones.

Furthermore, in the same year, Micaiah attended Claim Academy for Full Stack Development (C#/.NET).
