Andy Watson

Andy Watson's work experience includes holding the position of Chief Commercial Officer and Chair of the Board of Directors at Atrandi Biosciences | Droplet Genomics. Previously, they worked as a Principal at 1W Advisors, where their responsibilities included board and CEO-level strategy, fundraising, and investor diligence. Andy also served as the CEO (consulting) at Empire Genomics, LLC, where they successfully assessed and turned around the company, achieving sustained profitability and increased sales. As the President & CEO of Genturi, they led all aspects of company operations and raised $8M in series A funding. Prior to that, they held the position of Vice President Corporate Development at Cell Signaling Technology (CST), where they led strategic planning and restructuring efforts. Additionally, they served as the Chief Commercial Officer at RainDance Technologies, overseeing sales, marketing, and business development. Earlier in their career, they held various roles at Life Technologies, Quantum Dot Corporation, Sequana Therapeutics, and Sanger Center, where they contributed to the development of automation systems and led teams in genomics technology.

From 1986 to 1990, Andy Watson attended the University of Cambridge, where they pursued a Masters degree in Engineering and business.
