Roberto P. Vasconcellos

Roberto P. Vasconcellos has over 15 years of experience in international tax. Roberto P. currently serves as the U.S. International Tax Team Leader and Head of the International Tax Technical Research Department at Drummond Advisors, where they advise on complex U.S. tax planning projects, corporate reorganizations, and estate planning. Prior to this role, they worked as a Senior Tax Associate at Battella, Lasmar & Silva Advogados, where they consulted on various international tax issues. Roberto P. also has experience as a Tax Associate at Costa Tavares Paes Advogados, advising multinationals and individual investors on international tax matters. Roberto worked as a U.S. International Tax Advisor at EY, focusing on financial services. Roberto P. also served as a U.S. International Tax Assistant Manager at KPMG UK, where they analyzed inbound scenarios and advised multinationals on tax treaty implications. Additionally, they worked as a Tax Associate at Ulhôa Canto, Rezende e Guerra Advogados, and held research assistant positions at New York University School of Law and the International Monetary Fund. Roberto began their career as an Associate at Rangel & Daiha Advogados and Demarest Advogados, where they drafted legal documents and provided tax advice to multinationals operating in Brazil.

Roberto P. Vasconcellos earned a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree from Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro. Roberto P. further pursued their education by obtaining a Master of Laws (LLM) degree in U.K. Tax/International Trade from The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). Roberto P. later attended the New York University School of Law, where they completed their Master of Laws (LLM) degree in U.S. International Tax. Roberto has also obtained several certifications including being an Attorney at the New York Supreme Court Appellate Division, First Department, a Lawyer at the Brazil Bar (Sao Paulo and Rio de Janeiro), and membership in the American Bar Association.
