Victor was quickly promoted to VP Finance where they were responsible for providing advisory services to Operations, developing and implementing cost-effective solutions to cut costs, increase project efficiency, and streamline financial processes covering job costing, purchasing, inventory control and fleet management through partnership with multiple GMs and Division Managers.

While at RFI, Victor also served as GM for the Fire Division and turned around financially depressed division by addressing complex challenges — poor client retention, low gross margins, and lack of leadership to several projects.

Some of Victor's accomplishments while at RFI include generating >$260K savings in the first six months after successfully renegotiating project and volume discounts with various manufacturers/distributors, capturing $60K shipping savings in the first six months by collaborating with UPS to consolidate accounts and take advantage of volume discounts, improving job costing accuracy by partnering closely with each GM division to set schedule and help them understand ERP system, revitalizing a failing relationship with a major educational institution and turning that relationship around by completing a multimillion dollar project on time by putting in place right-fit resources that completed project — within quality and less cost, stabilizing and reducing vehicle operating cost by converting to a leasing of vehicles model vs purchasing, and assisting in the implementation of MS Dynamics AX from a functional user standpoint.

Victor Laurel has a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from San Jose State University and certification from the California Tax Education Council.

They are on a team with Alan Dalmaso - Estimator & Project Manager, Katherine Solis - Estimator & Project Manager, and Artemio Miranda - Estimator & Project Manager.
