Ahmad Bilal

Ahmad Bilal has extensive experience in finance and accounting, spanning over three decades. Ahmad currently serves as the Global Head of Finance at dsm-firmenich, a position they have held since 2023. Prior to this, they worked at Firmenich as the Director FP&A for North America from 2020 to 2023.

Before joining Firmenich, Ahmad was employed at L'Oréal for five years, starting in 2015. During their time there, they held the role of Finance Director/Financial Controller for Global Marketing & Product Development. Their responsibilities included financial management of three brands, strategy development, and providing financial analysis to aid decision-making.

From 2007 to 2015, Ahmad worked at Colgate-Palmolive in various financial roles. Ahmad served as a Finance Project Manager, Controller for Operations Finance, and International Accounting Manager. Their duties included managing business transformation, providing strategic and financial information, and supervising the close and consolidation processes for overseas subsidiaries.

Earlier in their career, Ahmad spent four years at Unilever, holding positions such as Supply Chain Controller and Senior Financial Reporting Analyst. Ahmad was responsible for providing strategic supply chain cost information and managing financial reporting.

Ahmad's career began at Shell as a Business Development Analyst and later moved to Premier Oil as a Senior Accountant. At both companies, they handled financial reporting, budget preparation, and board meeting reporting.

Before transitioning to the corporate world, Ahmad gained auditing experience at PwC. Ahmad worked as a Senior Audit Supervisor and was involved in financial statement preparation, internal control review, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

Ahmad Bilal obtained a C.P.A. degree in 2002 from the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy, with a focus on Accounting, Auditing, Tax, and Business Law. Ahmad also earned a Bachelor's Degree from the University of the Punjab between 1988 and 1990, majoring in Accounting, Economics, and Corporate Law. Besides their formal education, Ahmad Bilal holds additional certifications, including one in time management from LinkedIn and another in C.P.A. from A.I.C.P.A.
