Carrie Ramsey

Carrie Ramsey is currently serving as Chief of Staff at DSST Public Schools since May 2023. Prior to this role, Carrie held multiple positions at KIPP Texas Public Schools from July 2017 to May 2023, including Deputy Chief of Academic Achievement, Managing Director of Achievement and Assessment, and Director of Data Analysis and Achievement. Carrie’s earlier experience includes roles such as Director of Primary English Language Arts and Science & Social Studies Achievement Manager at KIPP New Orleans from 2015 to 2017, and Program Specialist - School Improvement & Support at the Texas Education Agency from 2014 to 2015. Additional teaching experience includes serving as 2nd Grade Lead Teacher at Memphis College Preparatory Elementary School, Graduate Research Assistant at the Tennessee Consortium on Research, Evaluation and Development, and various teaching roles at DC Public Charter School and Chicago International Charter School. Carrie holds a Master of Public Policy in Education Policy from Vanderbilt University, a Master of Arts in Education from Dominican University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Wake Forest University.
