Suraj Rana has 23 years of senior management and leadership experience in emerging markets across 10+ countries in South and South-East Asia. His core areas of expertise include economic development; strengthening the enabling environment for public, private, and foreign direct investments in infrastructure; and institutional reform advisory services. As Managing Director at IMC Worldwide., he is responsible for day to day operations, South and Southeast Asia and the Pacific region business, and the company’s Economics and Finance practice. His portfolio includes serving as Programme Director of three UK Foreign Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) funded projects in Nepal and Pakistan as well as Islamic Development Bank and Asian Development Bank funded projects in Bangladesh and Philippines (both recently completed) with a total value of ~£ 219 million.
Suraj is a Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute and was also the Co-Vice Chair of Association for Consultancy and Engineering, International Business Group from 2017 to 2019. Suraj has an MBA from the Asian Institute of Management, De La Salle University, Philippines, and has recently completed the Executive Leadership Programme from Saïd Business School, University of Oxford, and Sustainable Finance and Investment Programme from Yale School of Management, Yale University.
