Overview

As our Business Development Director at DT One, you will prospect and close new customers across industry verticals such as Telco, Digital Wallets, Digital apps, Money transfer operators, digital banks, etc. The role requires a strong understanding of the industry, market trends, and customer needs to develop effective strategies that drive revenue and market expansion.

Key responsibilities

  • Identify and Research: Conduct market research to identify potential clients, market trends, and emerging opportunities. Gather and analyze data to understand customer needs, preferences, and pain points.
  • Lead Generation: Proactively identify and generate leads through various channels such as cold calling, networking events, social media, industry conferences, and referrals. Build a robust pipeline of potential clients and opportunities.
  • Relationship Building: Develop and nurture relationships with key stakeholders, decision-makers, and influencers within target companies. Leverage these relationships to promote the organization's products or services and create business opportunities.
  • Proposal Development: Collaborate with internal teams, such as sales, marketing, and product development, to develop compelling proposals and presentations that address client needs communicating DT One’s key value proposition.
  • Negotiation and Deal Closure: Lead negotiations with potential clients, addressing concerns, objections, and contractual terms. Close deals in a timely manner while ensuring profitability and alignment with the organization's goals.
  • Reporting and Analytics: Track and report on business development activities, sales pipeline, and key performance indicators. Analyze data to identify areas for improvement, trends, and opportunities.

What we are looking for

  •  8+ years of experience with exposure to Telecom, FinTech/Payments/B2B tech domain.
  • Experience in the telecom domain will be an added advantage.
  • Proven experience in setting account strategy, direction, and building out best in class best practices.
  • Proven experience in new business development.
  • Driven, flexible, self-motivated, go-getter, able to accept change and with the ability to work at pace in a rapidly growing and changing environment.
  • Results-oriented with great skills in communication, organization, and negotiation.
  • Fluent in English & any other language is a plus.
