Mike Sklar

Mike Sklar is an experienced Continuous Improvement Manager at DTE Energy, with a tenure starting in May 2005 and a track record of delivering significant financial benefits through Lean/Six Sigma methodologies. Sklar previously served as Chief of Staff for DTE Energy’s project management organization, achieving over 5% annual reductions in capital costs. Other roles at DTE Energy included Test Lead for a comprehensive customer relationship management system and management positions over natural gas storage fields and compressor stations. Prior to DTE Energy, Sklar held leadership roles at Quantum Compliance Systems and Plante & Moran, PLLC, and worked for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and Andersen Consulting. Mike Sklar holds a Master’s degree in Natural Resource Policy from the University of Michigan and dual degrees from Princeton University in Mechanical Engineering and Economics.
