Kirsten Koester

Kirsten Koester has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Kirsten is currently working as the General Counsel and Secretary at DTG Recycle since December 2022. Prior to this, they were a Board Member at the Association for Corporate Growth - ACG Seattle Chapter from June 2021 to December 2022.

From December 2019 to December 2022, Kirsten worked as an Attorney at Stoel Rives LLP, where they provided legal counsel to growth-stage and established companies on various matters including mergers and acquisitions, financings, and complex restructurings. Kirsten also advised clients on general business matters such as entity formation, joint ventures, corporate finance, and corporate governance.

Before joining Stoel Rives LLP, Kirsten held the role of Shareholder at Polsinelli from May 2018 to December 2019. From September 2006 to May 2018, they worked as a Member at Foster Pepper PLLC.

Kirsten has also served as a Board Member at Cafe Nordo in 2016. Prior to their legal career, they worked in the financial industry as an Assistant Vice President at Credit Suisse from January 2003 to July 2003 and as an Associate at Credit Suisse Asset Management from November 2000 to December 2002.

Before transitioning to the finance industry, Kirsten worked as an Analyst at Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette from August 1999 to November 2000, where they provided research and reporting on private equity funds. Kirsten started their career as a Rights Sales Agent at Loretta Barrett Books Literary Agency from November 1997 to August 1999, where they marketed and sold books to overseas publishers, audiobook companies, and periodicals.

Kirsten Koester attended Yale University from 1992 to 1996, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature. In 1995, they briefly studied Irish literature at Oxford University. Later, Kirsten pursued a law degree, completing their Juris Doctor (J.D.) at the University of Washington School of Law from 2003 to 2006.
