Alexander K. Buell is a prominent full professor of protein biophysics at DTU Bioengineering, having held this position since April 2019. Prior to this role, Alexander served as an assistant professor of physical biology at the University of Düsseldorf from October 2015 to March 2019 and was a Leverhulme Trust Early Career Fellow and Thomas Nevile Research Fellow at the University of Cambridge from October 2011 to September 2015. Notable visiting fellowships took place at institutions such as Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität (LMU) München, Tel Aviv University, and Aarhus University. Alexander began academic training with a Master’s in Physical and Theoretical Chemistry from Université Paris VI and obtained a Ph.D. in Biophysics from the University of Cambridge.
