Peter Steen Mikkelsen

Peter Steen Mikkelsen is a distinguished academic specializing in urban water systems, currently serving as a Professor at the Technical University of Denmark (DTU) since January 1999. Mikkelsen's expertise encompasses urban water engineering, with prior roles as an Associate Professor in the Department of Environmental Engineering and as an Assistant Professor in various departments related to environmental science and engineering at DTU. Additionally, Mikkelsen gained international experience as a Visiting Academic at Monash University, focusing on uncertainty assessment and integrated urban water management. Mikkelsen began their career in the field as a Licentiate scholar and Research Assistant at DTU, following a brief period as a consulting engineer and guest scientist at Eawag. Mikkelsen holds a PhD in Environmental Engineering from DTU, as well as a Baccalaureate in Mathematics and Social Sciences from Holte Gymnasium.
