Samarendra Kumar

Samarendra Kumar has a diverse work experience spanning over several organizations. Samarendra began their career at IBM India Limited as a Project Leader from 1997 to 2001. Samarendra then joined Coforge as a Program Head in IT and Information Security, where they worked from 2002 to 2012. During their tenure at Coforge, they also served as a Program Manager in Thailand from 2005 to 2009. Following that, they worked at Spectra Telecom as an AVP in IT and IT Security from 2012 to 2013. Samarendra then joined InterGlobe Enterprises as the Head of Group Information Security from 2013 to 2017. Later, they joined the Boston Consulting Group (BCG) as the Global Director of Enterprise Security Services from 2017 to 2019. Currently, they hold the position of Senior Director of Information Security and Privacy at du, starting from November 2019.

Samarendra Kumar completed a Post Graduate programme in IT & Management with a focus on Computer Science at AIMA from 1995 to 1997. In addition, they obtained certifications as a Certified Payment-Card Industry Security Manager (CPISM) from SISA and as a CISSP from the ISC2 Chapter Netherlands in 2012 and 2007 respectively.
