Daniele Broccolo

Daniele Broccolo is a Senior Software Engineer at DuckDuckGo since May 2019, following previous roles as a Software Engineer at Cliqz GmbH, where responsibilities included engineering a data pipeline for the Cliqz Search Engine. Prior to this, Daniele served as a Senior Developer at Tiscali S.P.A., focusing on improving the Istella web search engine and developing an Italian spell checker. Educationally, Daniele holds a PhD in Informatics from Università Ca' Foscari Venezia, complemented by a Master’s degree from Università di Pisa and a Bachelor’s degree from Università degli Studi di Perugia, with research experience in distributed web search.
