Gabrielle Battiste

Gabrielle Battiste, BA, JD, serves as the General Counsel and Corporate Secretary at Ducks Unlimited Canada, overseeing board governance, compliance, and risk management since July 2022. Previously, Gabrielle was a Board Member at Civida and Autism Edmonton, and a member of the Canadian Bar Association National Governance Task Force. Gabrielle has extensive experience providing general counsel services through Battiste Law and held the position of Vice President and General Counsel at LadderUp Consulting Ltd. Notably, Gabrielle served as Executive Director of the Edmonton Police Commission, where significant operational reforms and strategic governance initiatives were implemented. Gabrielle holds a Juris Doctor from the University of Saskatchewan and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Regina.
