Esat Balkır

Esat Balkır has a diverse range of work experience in various roles and industries. Esat has experience as a Board Member at Tekağaç Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş. starting in 2020. Prior to that, they worked at Duelit from 2017 to 2019, where they held positions such as Chief Operating Officer, Head of Product, and Digital Marketing Consultant. At DEİK - Foreign Economic Relations Board, they served as a member of the Turkey-Canada Business Council starting in 2023. Esat also worked as an Alumni Mentor Advisor at the Conrad School of Entrepreneurship and Business from 2021 onwards. In terms of entrepreneurship, they co-founded Tangled App in 2016, where they served as the Co-Founder and Product Manager. Esat was also involved in the startup ecosystem as a Startup Business Analyst at Rokk3r Labs from 2015 to 2016. Additionally, they co-founded Outly™ in 2015 and worked as the Co-Founder and Product Manager. In the corporate world, they have experience as a Project Manager Coordinator at New Gold in 2013 and as a Database Programmer at Sun Life Financial for a brief period in the same year. Esat also worked as an IT Analyst at M&R Automation Canada Inc in 2012. In these roles, they demonstrated various skills such as team management, project coordination, product development, market research, and database programming.

Esat Balkır earned a Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) degree in Management Engineering with an Option in Entrepreneurship from the University of Waterloo, graduating in 2016. In 2017, they obtained a Nanodegree in Digital Marketing from Udacity and also completed a Udacity Mentorship Nanodegree. In 2018, Esat gained a Nanodegree in React and a Nanodegree in Design Sprint Foundations, both from Udacity. In 2019, they completed a Product Management in Artificial Intelligence program from Udacity. Additionally, Esat has obtained several certifications throughout their education, including certifications in Email Marketing, Inbound Marketing, Social Media, and Content Marketing from HubSpot. Esat also possesses certifications in Distributed Management Essentials, Product Masterclass, Remote Employee Essentials, and Remote Human Resources Essentials from Remote-how, Inc.
