Athen Tate, PMP, has extensive experience in project management within the energy sector, currently serving as Manager of Project Management and Construction Governance and Performance Improvement at Duke Energy Corporation since November 2019. With a strong background that includes a leadership role at McDermott International Inc. as Sr. Principle Proposal Specialist, Athen has demonstrated expertise in proposal development for engineering and construction solutions across both fossil fuel and renewable energy projects. Previous experience at Duke Energy includes management of governance and performance improvement for major capital projects, while earlier roles at CoaLogix involved leading corporate sales and project management teams. Athen holds a degree in Chemical Engineering from Clemson University.
