Vice President CCP Projects & Operations at Duke Energy

Tim Hill has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Tim began their professional career in the US Navy as an Enlisted Aviation Electronic Technician from 1978 to 1989. Following their time in the Navy, they joined the United States Nuclear Navy as a Nuclear Surface Warfare Officer from 1989 to 1999. After that, they transitioned to Delta Air Lines, where they held various managerial positions, including General Manager of Component Maintenance and General Manager of MD80/MD90 Fleet Operations, from 1999 to 2003. In 2003, they joined Progress Energy and served as the Engineering Manager for Fossil Generation and later the Maintenance Manager for Cape Fear Steam Electric Plant. Tim then became the Plant Manager for Lee/Wayne County Energy Complex before assuming the role of Director of Business Excellence for Nuclear Generation. In 2011, they joined Duke Energy Corporation as the Maintenance Manager for Shearon Harris Nuclear Plant and later took on leadership roles as the Regional General Manager for Coal Combustion Products/Plant Demolition and Retirement, the Vice President of CCP Operations, Maintenance & Governance, and their current position as the Vice President of CCP Projects & Operations.

Tim Hill earned their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Nuclear Engineering from the University of Florida, where they studied from 1986 to 1989. Later, from 1992 to 1994, they pursued their Master of Science (MS) in Industrial Engineering at the University of Central Florida.
