Nick Konz is a Ph.D. student and Graduate Research Assistant at Duke University, involved in deep learning research focused on medical image analysis within the Mazurowski Lab since January 2021. Nick has also served as a Graduate Teaching Assistant for courses on deep learning and completed a Ph.D. Research Internship at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory, investigating AI robustness and interpretability. Previously, Nick accumulated research experience at the Reichart Lab related to statistical modeling and participated in the Skynet Robotic Telescope Network for astronomical data analysis, while also working as a teaching assistant in mathematics and physics at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Nick holds a Bachelor of Science in Physics and Mathematics from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and is pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy in Electrical and Computer Engineering at Duke University.
