Aditya Shankar

Aditya Shankar has a diverse work experience in various companies and roles. Aditya started their career as a Chemical Engineering Lab Intern at Northeastern University in 2011. Aditya then had internships at Red Hat and EMC Isilon Systems in 2013 and 2014 respectively, working as a Performance Engineering Intern and Software Engineering Intern. In 2015, they worked as a Software Engineering Intern at Uber.

After completing their education, Aditya joined Uber as a full-time employee in 2016. Aditya started as a Software Engineer I and later progressed to the role of Software Engineer II. Finally, they served as a Senior Software Engineer at Uber until November 2020.

During their time at Uber, Aditya had a freelance writing gig at Points in Case as a Freelance Writer in 2018. Aditya also contributed as a Headlines Contributor at Reductress from August 2020 to December 2020.

Most recently, Aditya joined Duolingo in December 2020 as a Senior Software Engineer.

Aditya Shankar's education history begins with obtaining a High School Diploma from Westford Academy between the years 2008 and 2012. Aditya then went on to pursue a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer Science at the University of Michigan from 2012 to 2015. Aditya continued their education at the same institution and completed a Master's Degree in Computer Science between 2015 and 2016.
