Cassie Freeman, PhD, has extensive work experience in various educational and research roles. Cassie currently holds positions at Duolingo, where they serve as a Senior Learning Science Manager and a Lead Learning Scientist. Prior to this, Cassie worked at The College Board as the Director of Learning Engineering and the Director of Analysis and Implementation, leading data analytics and tool development teams to support state and district initiatives. Cassie also held the role of Associate Director of Special Projects at The College Board. Before joining The College Board, Cassie was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Teachers College, Columbia University. Cassie Freeman, PhD, obtained their Bachelor of Science degree in Neuroscience and Education from Emory University, where they studied from 2000 to 2004. Cassie then pursued further education and completed their Master's degree in Education Leadership at Teachers College, Columbia University, from 2005 to 2007. Finally, they obtained their PhD in Comparative Human Development from the University of Chicago, where they studied from 2010 to 2015.
