Colm Boyd

Colm Boyd has a diverse work experience in the field of writing and content creation. Colm started their career as an Online Teacher at ADVANTAGE LANGUAGES in 2013 and then worked as a Content Writer, ELT Materials Writer, and Teacher for the British Council from 2007 to 2018. In 2016, they briefly worked as an ELT Materials Writer for Go English - idiomas para empresas-. From 2016 to 2019, Colm worked as a Content Editor at DIFUSIÓN, Centro de Investigación y Publicaciones de Idiomas, where they assisted the editor in reviewing and converting a textbook into an interactive e-book. In 2019, they worked as a Proposal Writer at ARISTOS Innovation Consulting, reviewing and rewriting proposals for European R&D and Innovation funding. Colm also worked as a Content Writer at Psychological Technologies (PSYT Ltd) from 2019 to 2020, writing content and tasks for an app-based course on combating depression and anxiety. In the same period, they also worked as a Content Writer at Typeform.com, writing articles and blog posts for the Digital Marketing sector. Colm Boyd completed their Bachelor's Degree in Applied Psychology from University College Cork, where they studied from 1997 to 2001. In 2003, they pursued a Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults (CELTA) from the University of Cambridge. Additionally, Colm obtained several certifications including IELTS Marker (Reading and Listening Papers) from Cambridge University in September 2017, First Certificate Marker (Speaking Paper) from Cambridge University in January 2007, and another CELTA certification from the University of Cambridge in May 2003.
