Monica Chang

Senior Product Designer (learning Scaling) at Duolingo

Monica Chang has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Monica is currently working as a Senior Product Designer at Duolingo. Prior to this, they co-founded and served as the Chief Design Officer at Muladhara Flo, where they designed and produced a breathing device to reduce anxiety and generated significant revenue. Monica has also worked as a HCI + Design Researcher at the Human-Computer Interaction Institute at Carnegie Mellon University and as a Product Designer at Rivian. Monica has experience in leading product design teams and has worked on projects with Microsoft Research and the Mobile Sensing and Health Institute. Monica has also held roles in product development management at STORQ and Z-PLY CORP, where they contributed to the development of various product lines for well-known brands.

Monica Chang has a Master's degree in Human Computer Interaction from the CMU Human-Computer Interaction Institute.
