Mykhaylo Zakryzhevskyy has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Mykhaylo began their career as an English Language Teacher at Green Forest from 2007 to 2009. During the same period, they also served as a PR Manager at InvestUkraine, a state-owned enterprise. In 2008, Mykhaylo worked as a Language Cross-Cultural Facilitator for Peace Corps.

From 2011 to 2018, they held multiple roles at Ohio University, including ESL Associate Lecturer, Writing Lab Coordinator at the Ohio Program of Intensive English (OPIE), and ESL Lecturer. Mykhaylo also worked as an Instructional Design Intern at the Office of Instructional Innovation.

In 2018, Mykhaylo briefly worked as an ESL Lecturer at the State University of New York College at Plattsburgh.

In 2019, Mykhaylo joined LanguageLine Solutions as a Ukrainian Telephonic Interpreter, where they performed interpretation services in various fields such as medical, financial, insurance, and legal.

Later in 2019, they transitioned to Grange Insurance as an Instructional Designer for Sales Training.

From 2019 to 2021, Mykhaylo worked at the University of Cincinnati as a Staff Development Specialist in the Staff Success Center.

In 2020, they became a Ukrainian & Russian Telephonic Interpreter at CyraCom Language Solutions.

Currently, Mykhaylo is working as a Curriculum Designer II for English at Duolingo since June 2021.

Mykhaylo Zakryzhevskyy has a diverse education history. Mykhaylo began their education in 2001 at the Horlivka State Pedagogical Institute of Foreign Languages, where they obtained a Specialist Degree in Education, specializing in ESL Teaching and World Literature, in 2006. During their time at the institute, in 2003 and 2004, they also participated as an exchange student sponsored by the US Department of State at Grand Valley State University, focusing on education and ESL.

In 2008, Mykhaylo received a Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) Specialist Certificate from USAID. The following year, from 2009 to 2011, they pursued a Master's degree in Applied Linguistics at Ohio University. During this time, they also completed additional certifications in Computer-assisted Language Learning (CALL) and Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) from Ohio University.

Seeking further specialization in the field of education and technology, Mykhaylo pursued a Master of Education (MEd) degree in Computer Education and Technology from Ohio University, which they obtained in 2018. Mykhaylo also obtained a Professional Instructional Design Certificate from Ohio University in 2018, enhancing their expertise in instructional design.

To develop their facilitation skills, Mykhaylo participated in a DDI Facilitator Certification Process Workshop conducted by DDI | Development Dimensions International in 2019. This workshop focused on improving their capabilities in facilitating training programs.

Overall, Mykhaylo Zakryzhevskyy has a strong educational background in education, ESL teaching, applied linguistics, and computer education and technology, and has pursued additional certifications to enhance their skills in instructional design and facilitation.
