Scott Syglowski

Scott Syglowski has extensive work experience in the field of tax. Scott currently holds the position of Director of Tax at Duolingo, a role they started in May 2021. Prior to this, they worked at Highmark Health as a Corporate Tax professional from January 2019 to April 2021. Before that, they served as the Vice President of Tax at EDMC from 2014 to 2018. Scott also worked at Ernst & Young as a Tax Senior Manager specializing in Transaction (M&A) Tax from 2008 to 2014. Scott began their career at Deloitte as a Tax Manager focusing on State & Local Tax from 2005 to 2008 and worked as a Tax Supervisor at Sisterson & Co. LLP from 1999 to 2005.

Scott Syglowski attended the University of Pittsburgh School of Law from 1995 to 1998, where they obtained a Doctor of Law degree (JD) with a focus on Law. Prior to that, from 1991 to 1995, they attended the University of Pittsburgh, majoring in Accounting, although they did not specify if they obtained a degree in this field. In addition to their education, Scott Syglowski obtained certification as an Attorney from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania in November 1998.
