Edgar Olivares

Edgar Olivares has extensive experience in supply chain management. Edgar most recently served as the Head of Supply Chain at Duracell Inc., where they were responsible for the development of the end-to-end supply chain. This included overseeing processes such as IBP, demand planning, traffic (importations), CPFR, warehousing, and last-mile distribution. Edgar focused on building organizational capacity and high-performance teams.

Prior to their role at Duracell, Edgar worked as the Sub Director of Supply Chain at Franslux, where they were responsible for implementing strategies to optimize demand planning, S&OP, CPFR, traffic (importations and exports), direct and indirect procurement, and master data. Edgar also managed budgets to maximize department savings and led multidisciplinary teams with 2 management positions and 21 reports.

Edgar has also held various managerial roles at FANDELI, Mabe, and Logyt, where they focused on strategic commercial planning, financial planning for the supply chain, and demand planning & S&OP consulting. Edgar has experience in redesigning value chains, improving operational performance, and achieving cost savings.

Earlier in their career, Edgar worked in traffic coordination at LG Electronics and import coordination at New Balance. Edgar has a well-rounded background in supply chain operations and a proven track record of delivering results.

Edgar Olivares has a diverse education history. In 2000-2004, they obtained a Bachelor's degree in International Commerce from the Universidad del Valle de México, specializing in Finance. Edgar later pursued a Master's in Administration and Business (MBA) from the Universidad de las Américas Ciudad de México from 2009 to 2011, focusing on Finance. In 2017-2018, Edgar completed a Diploma in Top Management from Tecnológico de Monterrey. Additionally, in 2021, they obtained a certification in Integral Business Planning (IBP Avanzado) from Oliver Wight LATAM.
