Chris Farr

Christopher Farr is an experienced professional in the field of philanthropy and education, currently serving as the Director of Philanthropy at Durham Academy since March 2023. Previously, Christopher held the position of Chief Advancement Officer at South Kent School from July 2017 to May 2022. Christopher's long tenure at The Shipley School from July 1997 to June 2017 included roles such as Director of Development, Associate Director of External Relations, and Director of Annual Giving. Earlier career experiences include positions at The Wharton School and The Development Center, working in fundraising and client services, as well as teaching and coaching roles at South Kent School and Trinity-Pawling School. Christopher holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Middlebury College, earned between 1984 and 1988, and attended South Kent School from 1980 to 1984.
