Lauren Moore

Lauren Moore serves as the Science and Research Coordinator at Durrell Wildlife Conservation Trust since September 2025, overseeing diverse research projects to ensure scientific rigor across international initiatives and Jersey Zoo. In addition to this role, Lauren is a Member of the Conservation Committee for the British and Irish Association of Zoos and Aquariums (BIAZA) and a Trustee at Nottinghamshire Wildlife Trust, actively contributing to environmental protection strategies. Previous experience includes working as a Policy Officer at Wildlife and Countryside Link, focusing on climate and land use policies, and serving as a Research Fellow at Nottingham Trent University, where involvement in the National Hedgehog Monitoring Programme was pivotal. Lauren's consulting roles included projects with Animex International, Natural England, and IUCN, emphasizing ecological conservation. Academic credentials include a Master’s degree in Conservation Biology from the University of Oxford, a PhD in Ecology and Conservation from Nottingham Trent University, and a Bachelor's degree in Conservation Biology from The University of Salford.
