Bill White is an experienced science educator and researcher with a strong background in environmental science and biology. Currently serving as a Hospital Homebound Science Teacher and Mentor for Duval County Public Schools since August 2017, Bill previously taught General and Honors Biology as well as Advanced Placement Environmental Sciences at Orange Park High School. With extensive experience at the University of Florida, Bill worked as a Biological Scientist II in the Shellfish Aquaculture Extension Program and held various roles including project manager, lecturer, graduate fellow, teaching assistant, and research assistant. Bill's academic credentials include a Ph.D. (ABD) in Environmental Engineering with a focus on Wetland Ecology and Freshwater Ecology from the University of Florida, alongside a Master’s degree in Biology from the University of Mississippi and a Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Chemistry, and Marine Science from Jacksonville University.
