Jason Rowland

Jason Rowland is an experienced professional in materials characterization and engineering, currently serving as a Manager at IBM since March 2019, overseeing the IBM Systems Materials Characterization Lab. With a robust background, Jason has held roles such as Senior Engineer in Surface Analysis and Packaging Development, focusing on complex materials and failure analysis in the semiconductor and packaging sectors. Prior experience includes Engineering Manager at GLOBALFOUNDRIES, managing a multidisciplinary team and utilizing advanced characterization methods, as well as previous positions at IBM and a post-doctoral researcher at the University of Florida, where research concentrated on prototype development for medical applications. Jason holds a Ph.D. in Materials Science from the University of Florida and a B.S. in Physics from California State Polytechnic University-Pomona.
