Michael Maximilien is a seasoned technology leader currently serving as the Technical Advisory Committee Lead for the Post-Quantum Cryptography Alliance and a Distinguished Engineer at IBM Research, where involvement focuses on AI, quantum middleware, and quantum safe computing. With extensive leadership experience, Michael holds the position of Chairperson of the Board at the OpenJS Foundation and has contributed to IBM in various capacities since October 2017, including CTO. Previous roles span committee memberships and editorial positions, as well as leadership in Cloud Foundry Extensions and Cloud Native Applications at The Linux Foundation. Michael's academic credentials include a Ph.D. and M.S. in Computer Science from North Carolina State University and a B.S. in Computer Engineering from Florida International University.
