Benedict Pan-Long

Benedict Pan-Long has a diverse range of work experience in the accounting field. Benedict started their career as an Audit Intern at Deloitte US in 2007 before moving on to Deloitte China as a Tax Associate in 2008. In this role, they conducted tax research and assisted with tax consulting projects. Benedict then worked as an Accounting Supervisor at Dwellworks from 2009 to 2011. At Decathlon China, they served as an Accounting Team Leader from 2011 to 2012, and later as a Finance Manager from 2013 to 2014. Benedict then joined Armanino LLP as a Senior Accountant, where they managed monthly accounting closing and budgeting for clients. Benedict gained experience in the biopharmaceutical industry at Kite Pharma, where they started as a Senior Accountant and eventually became an Accounting Manager. During their time at Kite Pharma, they handled fixed asset management, tax research, and SOX compliance. Benedict then moved to Instil Bio, where they took on the role of Manager of Accounting and later Senior Manager of Accounting. In these roles, they oversaw financial operations, managed SEC filings, and collaborated with cross-functional teams. Their most recent role was as an Associate Director of Accounting at Dynavax Technologies.

Benedict Pan-Long obtained their Bachelor of Management in Accounting with CPA Specialization from the Southwestern University of Finance and Economics in 2008. Benedict then pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with an Accounting Specialization at the Schulich School of Business - York University from 2014 to 2016. In 2018, they obtained a Certificate in Taxation from UCLA Extension. Benedict has also obtained multiple certifications, including Certified Public Accountant (CPA) from the California Board of Accountancy in 2018 and the Washington State Board of Accountancy in 2022. Benedict is also a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) from the Chartered Professional Accountants of British Columbia in 2015 and a Certified Management Accountant (CMA) from the IMA | Institute of Management Accountants in 2014.
