Wendy Ballard

Wendy Ballard has extensive experience in the field of intellectual property law. Wendy currently holds the position of Senior Director, Intellectual Property Senior Counsel at Dyne Therapeutics since October 2021. Prior to this, they worked as a Patent Attorney II at Novartis Institutes for BioMedical Research from July 2018 to October 2021. Before joining Novartis, Wendy was an Intellectual Property Associate at JONES DAY®, where they gained experience in various aspects of intellectual property including patent prosecution, IP client counseling, and technology transactions. Wendy assisted clients with matters related to technology development, commercialization, and transfer of IP rights. Wendy also performed due diligence for commercial transactions involving the acquisition or transfer of IP rights. Wendy's career in intellectual property spans multiple industries and demonstrates their expertise in this field.

Wendy Ballard received their Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from North Carolina State University in 2006. Following this, they pursued a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry at the University of Virginia from 2006 to 2011. Finally, Wendy completed their education at the University of Connecticut School of Law, where they obtained a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from 2011 to 2014.
