Wes Brown

VP, Architecture at Dyntek Inc

Wes Brown is currently the VP of Architecture at Dyntek Inc, but they have held many other positions in the field of network engineering. Wes started their career in September of 2013 with Vision Technologies as a Network Engineer. There, they were responsible for the Tier-3 troubleshooting for the 5th largest school district in the nation. This school district consisted of over 40,000 devices, over 350,000 users, and spanned over 7,500 square miles. Wes was also responsible for the 802.11ac Wi-Fi design at over 150 schools – with over 6,000 switches and APs deployed.

In 2016, they became the Lead Network Engineer for the Nevada Ready 21 program. In this position, they prepared designs for the winning bid of 17 school districts impacted statewide. Wes also developed a WPA-PSK to WPA2-Enterprise upgrade path for device and user access control. In addition to these responsibilities, they also performed LAN and Wi-Fi site surveys to design next-generation networks that would support Federal school device initiatives such as “1 to 1”.

Later in their career, they became a Technical Project Lead for a WiFi equipment life-cycle replacement of more than 10,000 devices. In this position, they were responsible for coordinating with multiple organizations to effectively ensure change management practices met production network requirements.

Wes Brown has a Bachelor's of Science in Systems and Network Administration from Bellevue University, an Associate's of Science in Electronic Systems Technology from the Community College of the Air Force, and various certifications from Fortinet, Microsoft, Palo Alto Networks, Brocade, CompTIA, and Cisco.

Wes Brown reports to Joe Rubino, Senior VP. They work with Adam LaChant - VP of Sales, East, Peter Walsh - VP of Finance, and Linda Ford - VP of Marketing.
