Iwe E.C. Muiser

Iwe E.C. Muiser has a diverse work experience spanning from 2006 to 2022. They started their career as a Student Assistant at Hanzehogeschool Groningen in 2006 and ended in 2007. In 2008, they worked as a Research Assistant at NTNU Trondheim, initially full-time and later part-time until 2011. During this role, they performed programming and visualization tasks on a project basis.

From 2012 to 2016, Iwe worked at Meertens Instituut as an ICT Developer, where they supported the research of PhD students and Postdoc researchers in a folktale research program. Their responsibilities included programming, data visualization, pre-processing databases, and developing online search systems. In 2016, their role transitioned into a Scientific Programmer, with additional tasks such as connecting specialized tools to aid annotation of oral history texts.

In 2017, Iwe took a break from their career to travel through central Asia and Russia by car under the company name Eastward.nl. Afterward, they joined OCLC (Nederland) in 2018 as a Software Developer until 2022.

Currently, Iwe holds the position of Lead Software Developer at E.A.Z. Wind, starting in December 2022. No end date is specified for this role.

Iwe E.C. Muiser completed their Bachelor of Science degree in bioinformatics from Hanzehogeschool Groningen / Hanze University of Applied Sciences Groningen, where they studied from 2003 to 2008. They then pursued a Master of Science degree in bioinformatics from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) from 2008 to 2011.
