Tilak Gopalarathnam

Tilak Gopalarathnam is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in energy technology and business development. Currently serving as the Managing Director for Business Development & Applications at e-STORAGE since January 2020, Tilak has been instrumental in closing contracts for utility-scale Battery Energy Storage Systems with a combined capacity exceeding 3GWh, while leading the Global Applications team. Prior roles include Director of Energy Technology Partnerships at LG Corp., where Tilak managed corporate strategy and technology partnerships across a broad spectrum of energy technologies, and Director of Energy Solutions at Flex, focusing on innovative solar solutions. Earlier experiences encompass leadership positions at REFU Elektronik GmbH, SunEdison LLC, Xantrex Technology, Inc., and General Motors, with a strong emphasis on power electronics and energy management systems. Academic qualifications include an MBA from the University of California, Berkeley, a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Texas A&M University, and a B.Tech in Electronics and Communication Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras.
