Matt Steben has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Matt began their career in 2005 as a Floor Manager at ClubSport and later moved on to become a Project Manager at Davis Home Pros. In 2010, they worked as a Chemistry Preparatory Worker at Diablo Valley College.

From 2011 to 2012, Matt Steben took on roles as a Sales Assistant and Sales Administrator at Biocare Medical. Matt then transitioned to the role of an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the Kuhl Surface and Interfacial Science Laboratory from 2012 to 2014.

In 2013, Matt Steben joined Genentech as a Manufacturing Science and Technology - Cell Culture Lab Intern, followed by an Equipment and Instrumentation Intern position at Grifols in 2014.

Matt Steben's career in automation engineering began in 2015 when they joined E Tech Group as a Lead Automation Engineer II. From 2015 to 2021, they held the role of an Automation Engineer at Banks Integration Group, where they performed engineering and design functions, developed system specifications, and conducted tests on SCADA systems.

Currently, Matt Steben holds the position of a Lead Automation Engineer at Banks Integration Group, where they continue to leverage their engineering and automation expertise.

Matt Steben attended Northgate High School from 1994 to 1998, where they completed the College/University Preparatory and Advanced High School/Secondary Diploma Program and obtained their diploma. Following high school, they enrolled at San Jose State University from 1998 to 2004, earning a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Psychology.

In 2009, Matt Steben decided to pursue engineering and enrolled at Diablo Valley College, where they studied engineering from 2009 to 2012. During this time, they did not obtain a degree.

After completing their studies at Diablo Valley College, Matt Steben transferred to the University of California, Davis, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Chemical Engineering from 2012 to 2014.

In May 2014, Matt Steben obtained the certification of Engineer In Training from the California Board for Professional Engineers, Land Surveyors, and Geologists.
