Jackson Geary is a graduate student at the University of Washington specializing in synthetic chemistry and materials characterization. Current work involves designing strategies for templated multicomponent active sites in metal–organic frameworks and utilizing various techniques such as EXAFS and PXRD for characterization. Additionally, Jackson serves as a Due Diligence Graduate Student Fellow at E8 Angels, focusing on clean tech startups and their technologies. Previous experience includes research at the University of Utah, synthesizing complex ligands and probing thermodynamics, as well as coordinating biomonitoring studies for the Utah Department of Health. Jackson holds a PhD in Chemistry from the University of Washington and a BS in Materials Chemistry from the University of Utah.
