Mark Joubert has a strong background in maritime operations and management. Mark has held various roles throughout their career, starting as a Marine Surveyor at A.R Brink and Associates in 1993. From there, they worked at Bonship Maritime Agencies as an Assistant Branch Manager before moving on to MUR Shipping Pty Ltd as an Operations Manager, where they managed a team covering shipments to the Mediterranean, South America, and the East Coast USA.

In 2003, Joubert joined Island View Shipping as a Handy Venture Operations Manager, responsible for managing operations in that area until 2010. Mark then joined Fortescue Metals Group as an Operations Manager, overseeing time charter, voyage charter, and spot vessels and managing bunker bookings and agency tender contracts in Australia and the Far East.

From 2014 to 2019, Joubert worked at Oldendorff Carriers GmbH & Co as a Director of Operations, where they managed Pacific Handy/Handymax vessel operations across teams in Singapore, Melbourne, Vancouver, and Tokyo. Mark also collaborated closely with chartering directors to achieve optimal results and handled claims and client management from an operational perspective.

Most recently, Joubert joined Eagle Bulk Shipping Inc. in 2019 as the Head of Operations for Singapore. In this role, they managed the company's owned and chartered tonnage and oversaw vessel operations for the Singapore team. Mark implemented company strategy and procedures across the Pacific region and coordinated closely with chartering and technical departments to achieve optimal results.

Mark Joubert began their education at the Durban University of Technology, where they pursued a degree in Maritime Studies from 1990 to 1995. Mark'sfield of study focused on Shipping and Logistics. Following this, Mark enrolled in the Tutor Ship - Institute of Chartered Ship Brokers from 1996 to 1998, completing a degree in Shipping.
