Leanna Barlow

Associate Academic Dean for Students at Earlham College

Leanna Barlow currently serves as the Associate Academic Dean of Students at Earlham College, overseeing the academic advising program and managing training resources for academic advisors. Prior to this role, Leanna held several positions at Yale University, including Lecturer for a First-Year Seminar on social movements, and Dean of Silliman College, where responsibilities included serving as the chief academic officer for approximately 500 students. Leanna's experience also includes a role as Resident Tutor and Sophomore Adviser at Harvard University, where educational programming was developed for students. Additionally, Leanna worked as a Senior Analyst for the City of Somerville, providing daily briefings to the Mayor and overseeing departmental performance. Earlier experience includes mentoring first- and second-year students at Brandeis University through the Posse Foundation. Leanna holds a PhD in Political Science and Government from Brandeis University, an MPA from Cornell University, and a bachelor's degree in Public Health & Social Justice from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
