Jeremy Jones

Jeremy Jones has a diverse range of work experience in the legal field. Jeremy started their career as a Legal Extern at the US Securities and Exchange Commission in 2013, where they assisted federal attorneys and conducted investigations on potential securities law violations. Jeremy then worked as a Student Clinician at the University of Georgia School of Law's Business Law Clinic and as a Research Assistant at the University of Georgia.

In 2014, Jeremy joined King & Spalding as a Project Attorney before moving on to the Georgia Secretary of State, where they served as an Enforcement Attorney in the Securities and Charities Division from 2015 to 2017.

Jeremy then transitioned to private practice, first at the Cott Law Group, P.C. and later at Cole-Frieman & Mallon LLP, where they gained extensive experience advising investment professionals on investment fund formation and compliance matters.

In 2017, Jeremy joined Wealthfront as a Corporate Counsel, where they negotiated contracts with vendors and affiliates, advised on privacy laws, and managed updates to the company's privacy policy. Jeremy was then promoted to the role of Senior Counsel in 2021, where they continued to advise product teams on financial technology products.

In 2022, Jeremy joined EquityBee as a Senior Product Counsel, where they advised product and operational teams on financial technology products, conducted risk mitigation evaluations, and managed the company's investment fund offering documents.

Currently, Jeremy is working as a Senior Product Counsel at EarnIn starting from 2023.

Throughout their career, Jeremy has demonstrated expertise in financial and securities law, compliance, contract negotiation, and privacy regulations.

Jeremy Jones attended Birmingham-Southern College from 2007 to 2011, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Business Administration and Management, with a focus on General Management. Following this, they enrolled at the University of Georgia School of Law from 2011 to 2014, obtaining a Juris Doctor degree in Law.
