As a result, Earnin accumulates over $50 billion in late and overdraft fees and turn to high-interest loans. Earnin seeks to eliminate those fees and put money back into workers’ hands.

The four individuals who founded Earnin all have experience in management and consulting. President Ram Palaniappan used to work for UniRush, LLC, and was responsible for managing the product. He also has a background in consulting from his time at KSA Technopak. Senior Operations Manager at Reflect.com, Nino Fanlo, is also one of the four founders. He has experience in e-commerce and was responsible for the success of Reflect.com, a Procter & Gamble company. The other two co-founders are Simon Lee and Jack Norris. Simon Lee used to be a product manager at LogicTools and has a degree in electrical engineering and computer science from UC Berkeley. Jack Norris is a former consultant who has worked with big names such as McKinsey & Company, Bain & Company, and Deloitte. He has a degree in economics from Dartmouth College.
