Kara Goad

Kara Goad is an Associate Attorney at EARTHJUSTICE. Kara was previously a Legal Intern at the Southern Environmental Law Center from June 2017 to August 2017. Kara also served as a Law Clerk for the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit from August 2019 to August 2020 and for the United States District Court for the Western District of Virginia from September 2018 to August 2019. Prior to that, they were a Legal Intern at the Appalachian Citizens' Law Center from June 2016 to August 2016. Kara began their career as a Paralegal at Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton LLP, where they worked from December 2011 to June 2015.

Kara Goad received a B.A. in Government and Latin American Studies from William & Mary. Kara then attended Cornell Law School, where they graduated magna cum laude and was a member of the Order of the Coif. During their time in law school, they also participated in a summer study abroad program at Universidad de Cadiz.
