Data Scientist II at EarthScope Consortium

Stephen Veitch is a Data Scientist II specializing in Batch Data Capture at EarthScope Consortium since October 2023, following the merger of the PASSCAL Instrument Center with Earthscope. Previously, Stephen served as a Staff Scientist and Data Specialist at IRIS PASSCAL from April 2023 to October 2023. Stephen has also held positions as Research Assistant Professor and Postdoctoral Researcher at The University of Texas at El Paso between October 2017 and March 2023, and worked as an Adjunct Instructor at Nassau Community College from January 2016 to June 2017, teaching courses in Physical Geology and Coastal Geology. Stephen's academic background includes a Ph.D. in Geophysics and Seismology from Columbia University, and two Bachelor's degrees in Geology from Western Washington University and History & Anthropology from Carnegie Mellon University.
